Available Sled Dogs for Adoption
Once in a while, we have sled dogs available for adoption. We strive to make our furry friends happy and sometimes it becomes apparent they no longer enjoy working on a sled dog team or they've reached an age that we feel they'd deserve a fireplace to sleep by. Often our retired dogs become house dogs, but with a kennel of our size unfortunately we can't keep them all (even though we'd like to). We have a strict set of adoption criteria for our dogs... if you are interested in any of the dogs you see listed below, feel free to contact us at info@dogslednh.com. Also, if you would like to be placed on a list to be notified when a dog becomes available, feel free to contact us as well!

Quid - 9 Years Old - Healthy Alaskan Husky, has run the Iditarod (Vern Holter line... Vern Holter is a well-known and respected Iditarod musher)
Quid has a special place in our hearts as the snugglebug of the kennel. She often talks at us saying "roo roo roooo" (sled dog for... "pet me more NOW"). We feel she'd be happiest living out the many years she has left in an active home with two-leggers that enjoy an outdoorsy lifestyle. She'd make a great cani-cross hiking or ski-joring dog for those interested those recreational activities. Or... just long walks in the woods with her special humans!
Quid says, "Extra points for those humans good at ear skritches and those that have yummy biscuits!... no points for couch potatoes."
Another kennel has approached us for assistance in placing two of their purebred Siberian Huskies. These two will need to go to dog-savvy families that understand the breed and understand that they will need a great deal of training.

Exciting Update on Quid ... - she's spending the winter with a potential adoptive owner as the Randolph Mountain Club's Grey Knob Hut Caretaker companion!
