When a dog comes to our kennel it has a home for life. Most of our retired sled dogs wind up on our couch or going home with one of our mushers. While we'd like to keep them all, sometimes we know it's best for the dog to find them a spot next to a woodstove and an active family to be their new forever-family. Dogs retire for a variety of reasons: Age, injury, etc. There is a comprehensive adoption process when adopting a dog from us including an application, references, and a personal interview. Since many of our dogs are second chance or rescue dogs, we want to be sure they go to the best place possible!
Available Dogs
HalMale, neutered, blonde color. Retired last winter due to age (10y.o.). Hal was going to go with one of our mushers, but housing issues prevented this. Hal has a knee injury, but that doesn't stop him from getting up on the couch and snuggling!
Chips
Male, neutered, black with a white blaze. 3 years young. Chips needs a home that will be patient with his shy nature and give him time to come out of his shell. We know that he thrives with one on one attention and would do better in a super active home where he can shine. No children.
Magic
Medium, black and white, spayed female, 3 y.o. She just isn't interested in being a sled dog, but she's got an amazing playful personality and would love to be your hiking buddy. Takes a little while to warm up to new people.
Annabelle
Female, 10 y.o., tan and black dignified older lady looking for a warm woodstove and a human servant to cater to her every whim (and give as many belly rubs as humanly possible).
